Yaris Headlight Range Control Fault

I'm having trouble with the headlight range control system on my 2011 Toyota Yaris with a gasoline engine. There's a warning light and error message, and the low beams shine too high or low, making it hard to see at night. The car has 129717 kilometers on it. I've checked the headlight switch and wiring, but the problem is still there. Could it be the auto-leveling or adaptive headlights? Any ideas?

Hey, I had something similar with my Yaris. Check the servomotor in the headlight. Sounds like that could be the culprit.

Thanks! Could you tell me more about your experience? Was the error message the same? Did replacing the servomotor fix it completely, and did you need to recalibrate anything?

Yep, same error and symptoms. Replacing the servomotor fixed it. Didn't mess with recalibration myself, just took it to a workshop after that.

Thanks a lot for your help! It sounds like the servomotor is the problem. I'll talk to a mechanic about getting it fixed. The estimated cost is about 1040€, but at least I know what's wrong.
