Seriously? Just the battery? I was hoping it wasn't something more sinister. Did yours give you a bunch of headaches before it died completely, or was it pretty sudden?

Pretty sudden, honestly. One day it was fine, the next, nothing. I tried replacing the battery myself, but it didn't work. Just took it to a shop and they sorted it out. Quick and easy, but worth the cost for convenience.

Good to know, thanks! Ended up just taking it to the workshop, as you suggested. 37€ later and it's all sorted! It was indeed just the battery in the key, but they also cleared the error code. Appreciate the advice!

Dude, I had the exact same thing happen with my Yaris! Sounds like a dead key fob battery to me.
