Yaris Passenger Seat Error
Summary of the thread
The conversation centers around a passenger seat error in a 2002 Toyota Yaris diesel, where the seat won't adjust, and an error is stored in memory. Initially, a discharged battery was suspected, and the seat harness was checked. Suggestions included checking the fuse box and ensuring the connector under the seat wasn't loose or corroded. After confirming the fuses were fine, the issue was resolved at a workshop, where a faulty seat internal motor was identified and replaced.

Fuses are good. Can you elaborate on the connector issue? Any signs of corrosion or damage? What cleaning methods did you use?

Didn't see anything obvious, just gave the connector a good wiggle and it started working again. Probably just a loose connection. You've checked the fuses and harness, and you're still getting an error code, might be time for a workshop. Could be something more serious.

Took it to a workshop. Faulty seat internal motor, needed replacement. Repair was 290€ including parts and labor.

Had a similar problem with my old Renault Megane, driver's seat though. Check the fuse box, might be a blown fuse for the power seats. Also, wiggle the connector under the seat. Sometimes they get loose or corroded. Did you check those?
