Yaris Transmission Oil Pressure Sensor Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Toyota Yaris diesel exhibited a transmission oil pressure sensor fault, leading to symptoms like the MIL light, error memory, emergency mode, slipping, and grinding. The likely cause was identified as low transmission oil. After topping up the oil, the fault was cleared, resolving the issue without needing to replace the sensor.

What was the root cause on your Astra?

Turned out the gearbox oil level was critically low. Sensor was doing its job. Would you check that before replacing the sensor?

Confirmed, oil level low. Topped up and fault cleared. 365€ at the workshop. Thanks for the tip.

Sounds familiar. Had similar on my old Opel Astra. Was it the sensor itself or something else triggering it?
