Oh really? A faulty sensor, huh? Where is the battery sensor located, and is it difficult to change? I’m reasonably handy, so might try to fix it myself to save some money. How did you figure out it was the sensor and not something else?

I'm not sure about the exact location on your 2021 model, but on mine it was near the main battery pack. I wouldn't recommend tackling it yourself unless you really know what you're doing with electric vehicle systems. High voltage can be very dangerous. Best bet is to take it to a workshop that knows EVs. They can diagnose it properly and replace the sensor safely.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to the workshop as you suggested, and you were spot on – it was indeed the battery sensor. They replaced it, and everything's back to normal. The repair cost was around 315€, which is a lot less than a new battery! Really appreciate your help!

I had something similar happen with my Zoe, though mine's a bit older. Same symptoms – low battery warnings and flickering lights. For me, it turned out to be a faulty battery sensor. These sensors monitor the battery's health, and if they go bad, they can cause all sorts of electrical problems.
