Zoe drivers side door lock failure
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Renault Zoe owner is experiencing an issue where the driver's side door lock is unresponsive, suspecting a faulty door contact signal. Another person suggests checking the door switch sensor and its wiring, as a loose plug might be the cause. The owner later confirms that the problem was indeed a defective cable or plug connection, which was resolved at a repair shop.

Thanks for the tip! When you say 'door switch,' are you referring to the sensor that detects whether the door is open or closed? And did your entire door locking mechanism fail, or just part of it? I'm trying to figure out if it's worth tackling myself or if it's something the garage needs to sort out.

Yes, the sensor that detects if the door is open or closed. Exactly that one. And yeah, the entire locking mechanism failed on that door. Honestly, if you're not confident with electrics, I'd take it to a workshop. Could save you a bigger headache.

Thanks a lot! I took it to the shop, and you were right, it was a defective cable or plug connection! The repair cost me 95€. I really appreciate your help!

I had a similar problem with my Zoe, though I didn't have as many kilometers on mine when it happened. Sounds like it could be the door switch. Check the wiring and connections going to it. Sometimes the plug gets loose.
