Zoe gearbox shifting issues
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Renault Zoe is experiencing gearbox shifting issues, including non-responsive paddle shifters, slipping, clunky shifts, and occasional grinding noises. The gearbox frequently enters emergency mode, displaying error messages and warning lights. The problem is suspected to be a faulty transmission control unit, which was confirmed by a workshop. Replacing the unit is suggested as the solution to resolve the issues.

Yeah, I get the service light, and the car symbol with the spanner lights up sometimes. Was it definitely the transmission control unit for you too?

Yep, that was it. Error codes pointed directly to a defective control unit. Bit of a pain, but once it was replaced, all the problems went away. Best to get it checked out at a workshop, they'll be able to confirm.

Thanks for the info! Took it to a workshop, and they confirmed it's the transmission control unit. Quoted me around 1000€ for the repair. Ouch! But at least I know what it is now.

Sounds familiar! I had something similar with my Zoe. Paddle shifters went haywire, and the shifting became a nightmare. Gearbox was definitely not happy. Any warning lights on the dash?
