Thanks for the quick reply! I did check the fuses, all seem fine. No specific codes, just a generic 'door handle electronics fault' message. Where exactly did you find the connection issue in your door?

Right, generic fault codes are the worst! I didn't actually trace the fault myself. I'd advise against stripping the door down yourself unless you're confident with automotive electrics; you could easily make things worse. I suggest booking it in with a qualified auto electrician. They'll have the proper diagnostic tools to pinpoint the exact cable or plug connection that's defective.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. Took it to a local garage and they found a faulty connector in the door. They cleaned it and secured it properly. Cost me 95€, but at least it's fixed!

I had a similar issue with my Zoe. It sounds like a dodgy connection in the door wiring loom. These electric door components can be quite sensitive. Have you checked the relevant fuses? Also, did the error message give any specific codes?
