Zoe low brake fluid worn brakes
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Renault Zoe owner reported low brake fluid and unusual brake pedal feedback, with no visible leaks. The issue was identified as worn brake pads, which can cause the fluid level to drop as the calipers adjust. It was suggested to have the brakes checked professionally, considering the potential risks. The owner confirmed the diagnosis of worn brakes and proceeded with replacement and fluid change.

Thanks! I haven't checked the pads. I'll look tomorrow. If it WAS a leak in the lines, wouldn't the level drop pretty quickly? It's been low-ish for a while, but not dramatically.

A slow leak can be hard to spot! Worn pads will lower the fluid level gradually. With those symptoms, I'd advise getting it checked by a professional. Brake systems are not something to take risks with! Could be master cylinder too. Better safe than sorry.

You're right, best not to mess with the brakes. Took it to a garage, and you nailed it – worn brakes. Replacing them and doing a fluid change. Bill came to 480€ Thanks for the advice!

Low brake fluid and strange pedal feel? That's worrying! How worn are your brake pads? If they're getting thin, the fluid level drops as the calipers compensate. Have you checked the brake lines carefully? Even a tiny pinhole leak can cause problems.
