How would I check the battery voltage myself? Is it something I can do with a regular multimeter, or is it more complicated?

You can use a multimeter, but be careful. If you're not comfortable, it's best to take it to a workshop. Given the symptoms and mileage, and if you don't have experience with electronics, it might be the best option. Likely a defective/heavily discharged battery.

Thanks! I took it to a local mechanic, and you were spot on. The battery was indeed the culprit, undervoltage issue confirmed. New battery installed, and it cost me about 290€. Everything's running smoothly now. Appreciate the help!

Sounds like undervoltage. Have you checked the battery's voltage? A heavily discharged or defective battery can cause these symptoms. Essentially, it's like trying to run a marathon on an empty stomach.
