Hey, thanks for your quick reply! That reassures me a little for now. But I do have one more question: can you remember roughly how much you paid for the repair back then? And have you had any problems with the ventilation since then?

Hey, no problem! Well, I paid around €940 to have the air conditioning control unit repaired. Since I had it fixed by a mechanic, however, the defect in the air conditioning control unit has been rectified. Since the repair, I've actually had no more problems with the ventilation. So, all in all, it was worth the money! I hope this helps you.

Thank you very much, that really helps! Although €940 is quite a chunk, I'm glad to hear that it completely solved the problem and you haven't had any issues since. I think I'll tackle it too and take my car to the garage. Thanks again for your advice!

Hi, I had a similar experience with my 2010 Mercedes C-Class diesel. The ventilation was basically only running at half power, it really sucked, especially in summer. My buddy, who is an automotive mechatronics technician, took a look at it and confirmed my suspicions: Defective air conditioning control unit. So you were probably not completely wrong with your suspicion. It was a silly thing, but not too serious. A full working day for the replacement and my car was fit again. Really annoying, but I'm sure it won't break again that quickly. Hope this helps you!
