Hey fellow gearheads, I'm struggling with my 2017 Volvo V90 diesel that's clocked 170,480 KM. It's been bouncing like crazy over bumps and the warning light on the speedometer's been glaring at me lately. I'm thinking there might be something wrong with the damper adjustment of the chassis. I've had a pretty rough run-in with a mechanic last time, so I'm trying to gather some info before I venture back into a garage. Has anyone had similar issues and how did your mechanic handle it? Hey there, I had somewhat of a similar situation with my 2014 Volvo V60. With about 160,000 KM mileage it started acting up, bouncing over potholes like a kid on a trampoline. Turned out, it wasn't the damper my friend; my problem was a defective cable connection. Took it to the garage, the mechanic fidgeted with the cable connection for a while and eventually had to replace it. Seemed the old one had a serious short, which was causing all the intermittent faults. Head down to your local garage and get that checked out. It might not be about the chassis at all, but just a defective cable causing you all this stress. Hope this helps!

Might sound a bit steep, but honestly, it was worth every cent to get my noble steed back on track. The best part? No more bouncing! Since losing that faulty cable, it's been smooth sailing and the ride's been as slick as butter. Feels like a brand new car now, to be frank. So, don't worry about your motor just yet.
