2020 Seat Tarraco's Blower and Speedometer Issues with Potential Outdoor Sensor Errors

Hey folks, I've been having some issues with my 2020 Seat Tarraco, Gasoline engine, clocked around 128K km. The blower's acting up, there's not enough cooling/heating and the speedo warning light's on. I guess it could be some Outdoor temp sensor goof up, given my recent rough experience with the mechanic. Has anyone else had similar troubles? Specifically, I'm curious to hear about your experience getting it fixed and dealing with mechanics. Any input is appreciated!

Hey, interestingly I faced a similar issue with my 2017 Seat Leon a while back. Kept getting weird signals from the sensor, with the fan blowing hot and cold at odd intervals and warning light popping up now and then. After a bit of poking around, we worked out that the problem was a faulty connection from the sensor. Although it didn't seem like much initially, sorting it out became a bit of a headache. The task wasn't as straightforward as we'd hoped. Firstly, we had to figure out whether the issue was the sensor itself or the connecting cable/plug. Then, once we determined it was the cable/plug, we had to get my car onto the lift in the garage to access that area properly. Moving around under the dashboard to disconnect the faulty cable was quite the wrestling match! But eventually, we managed to replace the bad cable with a new one, reconnected it to the sensor, and bam! The problem was solved. The heating/cooling issue was sorted, the warning lights went away, and haven't had any issues ever since. In retrospect, it wasn't an earth-shattering issue, but since it involved a fairly inaccessible part of the car, the jig involved was quite an adventure! So if your Tarraco has similar symptoms, it might be a connection issue. Best to get a seasoned mechanic to have a look. Good luck!

Hey there, thanks for sharing your wrestle with the cable. Seems like those pesky connections can cause more trouble than they're worth sometimes! I'm hoping it might be the same deal with my Tarraco. Roughly speaking, do you remember how big of a dent this whole adventure put in your pocket? And have any similar issues popped up since? Been smooth sailing since then?

Hey, your intuition is on the spot! After that little rendezvous with the mechanic, my Leon's Outdoor temp sensor has been functioning without a hitch ever since. So it seems the wrestling bout with the cable sorted out the primary issue. It's been smooth cruising since then! Now coming to your question about costs - it wasn't as harsh as I initially assumed. The villain of this story - the malfunctioning cable ended up costing me 155.00 Euro to fix. Sounds a bit steep for just a plug issue, right? But guess that's what you pay for wrestling with well-hidden, intricate parts of the car! So if your Tarraco's symptoms match, be prepared to lighten your wallet by a similar amount. But hey, at least it sorts out the problem. Good luck with your car battle!

Hey, I appreciate you taking the time to spill out your experience! Kind of puts me at ease knowing it wasn't something super serious or costing an arm and a leg. A bit heavy on the pocket for a cable, but as you said, the cost comes with the hassles involved. Fingers crossed that it turns out to be the same glitch with my Tarraco. Will make sure to put a seasoned mechanic on the job. Again, thanks a ton! Best of luck with your Leon, and hopefully, no more wrestling matches in the near future! Cheers!
