350Z AC and Temperature Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2005 Nissan 350Z is experiencing issues with a defective temperature sensor for the heat exchanger, leading to errors and a warning light. The air conditioning system is also not engaging, which may be related to the sensor issue. Possible causes include low coolant levels or a malfunctioning AC control unit. The recommended solution is to have the vehicle inspected by a professional, which confirmed the defective control unit as the problem.

Thanks! I will check the coolant level. If the coolant level is fine, what else could it be?

If the coolant's good, it could be the AC control unit itself, I've heard they can be finicky. I ended up taking mine to a shop, they said it was the air conditioning control unit and sensor issues. I suggest you do the same.

Thanks, that's really helpful. I had it checked and, as you suspected, the garage confirmed the defective control unit. The final bill was 980€ Thanks for the tip!

Hey, I had a similar problem with my 350Z. Check your HVAC system, especially around the heat exchanger. Is your coolant level okay? A leak could trigger those symptoms.
