350Z Airbag SRS Light Fault

My 2006 Nissan 350Z with a gasoline engine has developed an airbag fault. The SRS light is illuminated in the speedometer. Suspect a loose connection somewhere. Anyone had similar issues?

The 350Z is known for some wiring harness quirks, especially around the steering column and under the seats. Have you checked the connectors there? Think of it like a loose Christmas tree light; one bad bulb kills the whole string. Is the light constant, or intermittent?

Good analogy. The light's on solid. Where exactly under the seats should I be poking around?

Focus on the airbag connectors under the seats; they are usually yellow. But given the solid light, it's more like a main breaker tripped. Before you cause more problems, and potentially deploy an airbag, I would bring it to a workshop.

Sound advice. Turns out it was a faulty connector as suspected, but deeper in the dash. 95€ later, all sorted. Thanks!
