350Z Brake Light Issue
Summary of the thread
The 2007 Nissan 350Z had a brake light issue, with an error message on the dashboard and an OBD II scanner error. The initial suspicion was a faulty brake light switch, as the bulbs appeared fine. After considering other potential causes like the brake pedal position sensor, the brake light switch was replaced, resolving the issue and eliminating the error message.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm not too familiar with the brake pedal position sensor. Is it hard to get to and check? Where exactly is it near the brake pedal, and what should I look for?

I am not 100% sure, but it is somewhere near the brake pedal, yes. If you are unsure, it may be best to get it checked by a workshop.

It was the brake light switch, like I thought. Replaced it myself, and the problem's gone. No more error message, and the brake lights are working again. Cost me 0€ since I did it myself.

I have a 350Z as well. I had a similar issue a while back. Did you check the brake pedal position sensor? Sometimes that can cause the brake lights to act up. It is located near the brake pedal.
