5008 Blower Motor Failure

Thanks for the quick response! It's completely dead, on all speed settings. Where is the blower motor resistor located, and is it easy to check? Is that a common point of failure?

If it's dead on all speeds, that does point more directly at the blower motor itself. The resistor usually causes issues with only some speeds. While you could try to locate and test the resistor, given the symptoms and your mileage, my experience suggests the blower motor is indeed the likely suspect. I recommend a visit to a workshop.

Thanks again! You confirmed my fears... Took it to the shop, and it was indeed the blower motor. 365€ later, it's fixed! Appreciate the help.

I had a similar HVAC system problem on my 5008. The heater fan wouldn't kick in. Did you check the blower motor resistor? Sometimes that's the culprit before the motor itself goes belly up. Is it completely dead on all speed settings, or does it work intermittently?
