A3 Sedan starts badly

Hi guys, I have a problem with my Audi A3 Diesel, year of manufacture 2010. It is behaving differently than usual. The indicator light is on, the engine switches off by itself, the cold start takes longer, the engine power is reduced, the engine runs rough, the car jerks when accelerating and sometimes it won't start at all. My garage told me that it was absolutely necessary to adjust the wrong software values for the fuel pump. I was charged 45 euros for this. It actually solved the problem and since then the car has been running properly again. It sounds exactly like your problem. Can you perhaps say more about your driving conditions? For example, do you tend to drive short or long distances? It would also be helpful to know how often and for how long the car has been showing these symptoms. With this information, we could see if it really is the same problem.

As far as driving conditions are concerned, I'm mostly on short trips, about 10-15 km per trip. The symptoms have been there for about a month and are getting worse. The garage couldn't find anything at the last inspection, which was three months ago. I hope this helps. That's a good tip about the fuel pump, I think I'll take a closer look.
