Hey, your experience is really interesting! Would you remember what the repair with the ECU cost you? Has anything else come up since then because that sounds like a pretty extensive problem...? Thank you in advance!

Hi, I'm glad that my experience has helped you! So, to answer your question: The repair of the control unit cost me €415. That was quite a lot of money, but since then at least that aspect has been fixed. You also had the signal error in the electric power steering in mind, didn't you? I can tell you that since I've been to the mechanic and the control unit has been replaced, this problem has also been resolved. So all in all, the repair seems to have done the job. I hope this helps you and you get your car back on track quickly! Good luck and let me know how it goes!

Moin, wow, that's quite an announcement! 415 is a lot of money, but if the problem is solved after that, I'll gladly close this chapter. I'm relieved to hear that everything has been running smoothly since then, really. Thank you so much for your advice and help! I will discuss this with my garage and hopefully they can sort it out as soon as possible. I'll definitely let you know how things go with my Renault. Wish me luck! See you then!

Hello, I can well understand your concerns. I once had a similar problem with my 2016 Renault Clio, which the workshop said was due to the control unit. There was some kind of defect there, which then messed up the various systems. Once the car had been completely checked by the garage, the mechanics said that the control unit had to be replaced. After replacing the control unit, the steering wheel stopped vibrating and the ABS system worked normally again. So yes, it could be that your Renault Wind has the same problem as my old Clio. Although it was quite a hassle, I would still recommend you wait for the diagnosis. It's not something to take lightly. Good luck with that!
