Accent washer system failure
Summary of the thread
The headlight and windshield washer system on a 2005 Hyundai Accent is not functioning. This issue could be due to a common fault such as a blown fuse, a faulty pump, or a bad electrical connection. Checking the fuse is recommended as the first step. If the fuse is intact, the problem might lie with the pump or wiring, and professional inspection may be necessary to resolve the issue.

Thanks! I haven't checked the fuse yet, but I will. If the fuse is fine, what next? Is there a common place where the cable connection tends to fail? I’m not mechanically minded, so any pointers would be appreciated!

If the fuse is okay, then it's probably the pump itself or the wiring harness. Honestly, chasing electrical gremlins can be a pain. I ended up taking mine to a workshop because I couldn't figure it out myself. They found a bad connection and replaced a relay. Cost me about 165€. Might save you some headache to just get it checked out.

Okay, thanks so much for the advice! It sounds more involved than I thought. I think I will book it in at the garage. I appreciate you sharing your experience!

I had something similar happen with my Accent. If both aren't working, it's likely the pump or the electrical connection. Have you checked the fuse for the washer system? That's usually the first place to look.
