Active Hood Fault Assistance Needed
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Seat Mii displayed an "Active hood fault" message and an airbag warning, with spring actuators triggered. The issue was suspected to be related to the acceleration sensor. After professional inspection, it was confirmed that the acceleration sensor was indeed the problem, and fixing it resolved the fault.

The hood latch didn't trigger visibly, but the spring actuators did activate. Does that sound like your car sensor?

Yep, pretty much the same. It's likely the acceleration sensor as you suspected. I'd suggest getting it checked out professionally. A faulty crash detection system isn't something to mess with.

Took it to a workshop, and they confirmed the acceleration sensor was the problem. The active hood fault is now fixed. Cost 315€, but worth it for the car safety. Thanks for the help.

Sounds like an active hood fault. I had a similar issue on my old Volvo when the car safety system went haywire. Was the hood latch actually triggering?
