Adam Handsfree Microphone Failure

I had something similar happen in my Adam. Is it completely dead, or is there just really bad sound quality? Have you tried adjusting the volume controls while you're on a call? It might sound stupid, but I initially thought mine was broken when the volume had just been accidentally turned all the way down.

Volume controls were the first thing I checked, sadly. The microphone is totally unresponsive. No sound input whatsoever. The car's system recognizes a call is active, but the other user can't hear a thing. Did yours eventually just fail completely like that?

Yeah, it sounds like what happened to mine eventually. Started with intermittent crackling, then just complete silence. Tried everything I could think of, but nothing worked. I'd bite the bullet and take it to a reputable workshop. Sounds like the infotainment system is the issue like you suspect.

Thanks. I was hoping it was something simple, but it looks like a new infotainment system is needed. The workshop confirmed our suspicions and quoted 815€ for the repair, which I reluctantly approved. Appreciate the insight!
