Adam Mirror Heating Fault
Summary of the thread
The conversation revolves around a faulty mirror heating system in a 2013 Vauxhall Adam. The initial suspicion was a defective cable or plug connection, as both mirrors were non-functional. After checking fuses and wiring, it was suggested that the issue might be with the heating element or a connection inside the mirror housing. A workshop visit confirmed a corroded connector as the cause, which was repaired successfully.

Yes, the fuses are fine and mirror adjustment works perfectly. I've visually inspected the wiring at the door entry; it appears intact. Could a diagnostic tool provide more specific information beyond the generic error code?

Given that the fuses are good and the mirror adjustment functions, and you've inspected the wiring, it's likely the heating element itself or the connection directly at the mirror. A diagnostic tool might give you a more specific code, but honestly, with those symptoms, it points to a faulty element or a break in the wiring inside the mirror housing. A workshop visit seems unavoidable.

Thanks for the input. Took it to the workshop; as suspected, a corroded connector inside the mirror housing was the culprit. Repair cost 95€. All good now.

Have you checked the fuses related to the mirror heating? Also, have you tried visually inspecting the wiring harness where it enters the door, looking for any signs of damage or corrosion? Does the adjustment of the mirrors still work?
