Adam Turn Signal Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Vauxhall Adam is experiencing a turn signal fault, with error messages indicating a defective lamp and potential issues with a cable or plug. Diagnostics suggest the problem might be due to a bad cable or plug. A suggested solution is to check the flasher relay, as it could be a simple and inexpensive fix before considering more complex wiring issues. If the problem persists, consulting a technician is recommended.

Thanks for the quick reply. Where was the flasher relay in your 308? And were the symptoms exactly the same? Did the turn indicator not light up at all, or was it intermittent?

On the Peugeot, it was in the engine compartment fuse box, but Vauxhall might put it somewhere different - check your owner's manual. And yeah, the turn signal was totally dead. Sometimes it would flicker once or twice, but mostly nothing. Intermittent faults are the worst, but a completely dead indicator definitely points towards a relay or a dodgy connection. Honestly, after messing with it for ages, I gave in and took it to a workshop. Best 95€ I ever spent!

Thanks a lot for the help and for sharing your experience. That's really useful in narrowing down the causes. I'll check the flasher relay and connections based on what you said. If that doesn't fix it, I'll take it to a technician like you did. Thanks again.

Sounds familiar! I had almost the exact same thing happen on my old Peugeot 308. Drove me nuts! Same error messages and everything. Before you start ripping things apart, have you checked the flasher relay? Sometimes those go bad and cause all sorts of weird electrical gremlins. It's a cheap and easy thing to check before you dive into the wiring harness.
