AdBlue issue on Seat Tarraco

My 2018 Seat Tarraco with a diesel engine is giving me grief. The dashboard alert says the AdBlue tank is empty, even though it's full. There's an error stored in the error memory, and now the engine won't even start. I suspect a defective AdBlue output from the tank to the dosing unit. Has anyone experienced this? I'm trying to avoid a huge bill.

I had a similar problem with my Seat Ateca. The dashboard alert was driving me nuts. I kept topping up the DEF fluid, but the error persisted. Have you checked the fuel efficiency lately? Mine dropped noticeably before the engine light came on.

Fuel efficiency hasn't changed. How did you fix it? Did you have to replace the whole tank or just some components? What about the emissions control, did you notice an increase?

Sounds like the pump. In my case, the dealership confirmed the pump was faulty. Replacing it fixed everything. I recommend getting it checked professionally; otherwise you might end up chasing ghosts.

The local garage confirmed the AdBlue pump was faulty. Replacement and coding cost 250€. Annoying but at least it's sorted. Thanks for the insight!
