Air conditioning and heating not working in Renault Fluence 2017: sharing experiences

Hi guys, I have a problem with my 2017 Renault Fluence petrol car, which now has 38162 km on the clock. The air conditioning is just blowing warm air, my heating/cooling isn't working properly either and the A/C system doesn't seem to start at all. My guess is the temperature sensor of the heat exchanger. I had really bad luck with my garage last time. Have you ever had similar problems? What was your experience with the garage? Thanks in advance for your help!

Hey, sounds like a similar problem I had with my 2014 Renault Clio. The air conditioning and heating stopped working and then the A/C system totally gave up the ghost. In the end, it was a temperature sensor that measured the interior heat exchanger and was apparently defective. But after they replaced the cables and plug connections of the temperature sensor in the workshop, everything worked perfectly again. It wasn't a minor fault, they had to fiddle around quite a bit until everything was working again. I hope it will be quicker for you! Good luck!

Hey, thanks for the answer! The description of your problem sounds very similar. Do you remember how many bucks you had to leave it in the workshop? And have there been any other problems since then or has everything gone smoothly? LG

Hey, I can't remember off the top of my head the exact amount I left with the garage back then. But I had to fork out about €155 for the cable and the temperature sensor connector, which were broken. Since the visit to the mechanic, everything has been running like clockwork with the baby, no more errors with the temperature sensor of the heat exchanger. Seems like they really hit the nail on the head. Hope that helps you a bit! On that note, good luck!

Hey, that's helpful information, thanks! I hope that something else isn't broken and that the damage is just as repairable as yours. The €155 is still okay, I was prepared for that. I'll take my car to a mechanic first thing tomorrow and hope it goes just as well for me. I can already smell the cool air from the air conditioning. Have a nice day!
