Air conditioning in Audi Q2 Diesel 2018 - possible defect in the refrigerant compressor

Hi everyone, I have a problem with my 2018 Audi Q2 diesel. The air conditioning isn't working properly, it won't start and only blows warm air. I suspect that it may be due to a defect in the refrigerant compressor. Do any of you have experience with problems like this and can give me tips on the best way to get it fixed in the workshop? It would be great if you could share your experiences and solutions with me. Thank you very much!

Hi, I'm not an expert but I do have some car experience. I had a similar problem with my 2017 Audi Q3. Based on your description, it sounds like the refrigerant in your air conditioning system might be empty. This was also the case for me and the air conditioning only worked lukewarm. At my authorized workshop, the nice people simply refilled the refrigerant, which surprisingly only cost me €50. It doesn't always have to be a major fault. lg

Hey, thanks for your quick reply! That's great, I hadn't even thought of that. If it's that easy to solve, I'd be really happy. Thanks again for your help!

No problem, glad I could help! With the recent service, it really shouldn't be anything major. Still, it's always better to have it checked by a professional. If the problem isn't solved even after topping up the refrigerant, you could take another look at the air conditioning compressor. However, this has never been the case with my Q3, which has always worked perfectly. Best wishes and good luck with your Q2! If you have any further questions, just get in touch.
