Airbag Warning Light Rollover Sensor

My 2012 Renault Wind (gasoline engine) is acting up. The airbag light is on, and the error memory says it's a rollover sensor. Mileage is 123764 km. I'm not a mechanic, but I've read it could be the control unit. Has anyone else had this?

Interesting. I had a similar airbag light issue in my Renault Wind – though I can't remember the exact year. The garage said it was a faulty SRS sensor, which I think is linked to the rollover system. Maybe it's the same thing.

Seriously? An SRS sensor? Was it expensive? And did it show the same error codes? Just trying to prepare for the cost.

Yes, it was the SRS sensor. If I remember correctly, the repair was around 1000€. It’s best to have a qualified mechanic diagnose it and confirm the control unit is defective. Vehicle safety is not something to risk.

Okay, thanks! Sounds like a workshop visit is coming, and my wallet will be lighter. At least I have a better idea of what to expect.
