Alarm System Malfunction

Indeed, the alarm system is configured to activate the indicators upon locking. Could this be the root cause of the alarm malfunction?

Yes, that was exactly the issue in my case. The excessive current draw when activating the indicators was triggering a fault in the alarm module. I would advise taking it to a competent workshop. They should be able to recode the alarm or suggest a suitable workaround.

Thank you for your assistance. I took your advice and consulted with a qualified technician. The alarm system was indeed coded to activate optical locking. The workshop was able to quickly rectify the error. The final repair cost was 45€.

I may be able to assist you. I had a similar issue with my Traveller. Is your alarm system coded to activate optical locking, i.e. the indicators?
