Albea Air Suspension Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2004 Fiat Albea experienced air suspension failure, causing the car to lean and display error messages on the dashboard. The initial suspicion was a loose cable or plug on the compressor. After checking the connections and finding no compressor noise, it was suggested that the issue might be more than a loose wire. A local garage confirmed a defective connector, replaced the wires, and resolved the problem.

Yeah, I crawled under and had a look. The plugs seemed okay, but I didn't have my multimeter to test for continuity. As for the compressor noise, I can't hear anything when I start the car or try to adjust the suspension. Is there a specific way I should be testing the cables?

If you can't hear the compressor, and you've checked the connections, it might be more than just a loose wire. I’m not an expert, but I remember someone had a similar issue, and their compressor was dead. Might be worth getting it checked at a workshop.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a local garage, and they confirmed it was a defective connector, as I assumed. They replaced the wires, and everything seems to be working. Cost me 95€, not too bad.

Sounds rough. I've had similar error messages in my older car, though not specifically suspension issues. Did you get under the car and check the plugs and cables yourself? Sometimes it's an easy fix. Is the compressor making any noise?
