Albea brake pedal feedback
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Fiat Albea diesel with low mileage is experiencing unusual brake pedal feedback, suspected to be due to unevenly worn brake pads. After checking the brake fluid level and finding nothing unusual, the issue is suggested to be related to undervoltage affecting the ABS system. A visit to the mechanic confirms the undervoltage problem, leading to necessary repairs including new brake pads and electrical work, resolving the brake feedback issue.

Undervoltage, you say? That's interesting. What sort of undervoltage symptoms did you experience? Did it happen only when braking?

Yes, it was indeed caused by undervoltage; and yes, the strange brake feedback was pretty consistent. After some tinkering, a workshop visit was necessary. I strongly advise you to have a mechanic examine the brake calipers and rotors.

Thanks for the insight. Took it to the shop; you were spot-on about the undervoltage. Turns out it was messing with the ABS. New pads and a bit of electrical work and I'm 240€ lighter, but the brakes are back to normal.

I had a similar problem with my Albea. Those symptoms can be a sign of undervoltage messing with the ABS system. Worth getting it checked out before it becomes a bigger headache – or a safety issue.
