Albea diesel engine power loss

My Fiat Albea, 2005 diesel, is giving me grey hairs! Only 54428 km and now the check engine light's mocking me. Plus, I feel like I'm driving a snail – seriously reduced power! And to top it all off, it's puffing out smoke when I try to accelerate with any enthusiasm. Mechanic thinks it's the crankcase ventilation valve malfunctioning. Anyone else experienced this delightful dance of despair?

Sounds familiar. I had similar symptoms on my Albea. Was the engine also idling a bit rough?

Crankcase ventilation valve, as suspected. Book it into the shop, it will probably cost around 360€ to fix it.
