Albea Handsfree System Failure
Summary of the thread
The 2003 Fiat Albea diesel is experiencing a hands-free system failure, specifically with telephony functions, despite attempts at a system reset. The issue is not related to ambient noise or Bluetooth settings. A similar problem in another vehicle was resolved by replacing a faulty module in the infotainment system, suggesting that a professional diagnostic assessment might be necessary to determine the exact cause and solution, potentially leading to a significant repair cost.

Thanks, I checked the mic settings; input gain is good, and the mic is enabled. What steps did you take with your Astra to resolve it? Any details on the fault's nature would be great.

No magic settings to adjust. After troubleshooting, I took it to a workshop. It was a faulty module in the infotainment system. Given your error code, a professional diagnosis might be worth it.

Thanks. Your Astra experience helps. Based on your recommendation, I'll get a professional diagnostic assessment. The 815€ expense seems likely. Thanks again.

I had a similar problem with my 2016 Opel Astra. Bluetooth calls were dead, but music streamed fine. Did you check the microphone settings in the infotainment menu? Maybe the input gain is too low, or the mic is disabled.
