Allion electronic parking brake malfunction

Hey, I'm having trouble with my 2007 Toyota Allion (gasoline engine). The electronic parking brake is totally unresponsive! There's a fault in the error memory, and the speedometer has a warning light. System glitch, or something worse?

Hmm, sounds familiar! I've got an Allion myself. Had similar symptoms last year. Did you check the brake switch or the sensor?

Thanks! Was it the brake switch or sensor? I'm hoping it's not the electric motor in the brake calliper, as the repair is estimated at 505€!?

Yeah, it ended up being the brake calliper motor, exactly as you fear. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop to be sure. Don't risk your vehicle safety.

Thanks; I suspected as much. I'll book a workshop visit ASAP to get the electronic parking brake fixed. I appreciate your help!
