Good point! I haven't checked the sensors individually. Where are they located, and is there a simple way to test them without special equipment?

They're usually in the rear bumper, sometimes in the front as well depending on your car's options. As for testing... hmm, without proper tools it's tricky. Could be a power issue too, right? Honestly, I ended up just biting the bullet and going to a workshop. Saved me a lot of headache.

Thanks for the advice! I appreciate it. I'll probably do the same and take it to a workshop to get it sorted. The repair cost was indeed around that amount. All working fine now.

Hey! Funny, I have an Almera too, and had a similar thing happen a while back. The parking sensors just died. Did you check the ultrasonic sensors themselves? I mean, could just be one faulty sensor messing everything up?
