Almera power window failure

I'm facing a peculiar issue with my 2000 Nissan Almera diesel. After replacing the battery, the power windows no longer work! I scanned for errors, and there's one related to the window regulator initialization. Has anyone encountered this before? What could be the cause?

Hey, I had something similar happen with my Almera. Did you try re-initializing the window regulators? It might just need a reset after the battery change.

Re-initializing? I'm not familiar with the procedure. How exactly do I do that? What are the exact steps involved in re-initializing the window regulators? Is there a specific tool required?

Unfortunately, my attempts to re-initialize the windows didn't work out. It seems specific to the car model. I ended up taking it to the workshop, they have specific tools. I'd recommend doing the same. It might save you time and potential headaches.

I appreciate the insight! I took your advice and visited my trusted workshop. It turned out the window regulator needed a reset, and they had the specific diagnostic tool to do it. Cost me 290€, but at least the windows are working again. Thanks again!
