Almera rear window heating issue
Summary of the thread
A 2006 Nissan Almera experienced issues with the rear window heating not functioning and weaker windshield heating. An error code indicated a potential battery problem. It was suggested that a heavily discharged or defective battery could be the cause. After a workshop diagnosis, the battery was confirmed as the issue, and replacing it resolved the heating problems.

I haven't checked the voltage directly. Just saw the error code suggesting battery issues. What was the behavior of your heating?

Mine was the same. Error code, weak windshield heating, completely dead rear defroster. Ended up being the battery. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop for a proper diagnosis. Will likely save you some time.

Thanks for the advice! I had it checked at a workshop and you were right, it was the battery. Cost me 290€ to replace it, but at least the heating is working perfectly again.

I had a similar problem with my Almera. The error code pointed to the battery, but I wasn't convinced at first. Did you check the battery voltage?
