Thanks for the reply! I haven't checked the fuses yet, that's a good point. I'm not sure about the exact error code - is there an easy way to check this myself?

Alright, if you can't access the error code, then I'd suggest bringing it to a workshop. It does sound like a faulty sensor, given the symptoms. If it is just a loose cable or connection, it will be a quick and inexpensive fix. I had a similar issue with my old car, and the cable was the culprit. A Toyota workshop should be able to diagnose and fix it quickly. Expect a reasonable repair cost.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice! I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on. It was indeed a defective plug connection to the temperature sensor. The total repair cost was only 95€. All working again!

Hmm, faulty interior temperature sensor, you say? Does the error code point specifically to that sensor? Have you checked the fuses related to the climate control system? Sometimes it's the simple things that get overlooked. It could also be a communication issue within the CAN bus network, but let's not jump to conclusions just yet. Has anything else been acting strangely?
