Alphard Crankshaft Sensor Issue

My 2020 Toyota Alphard hybrid is throwing a check engine light and feels sluggish at 110457 km. I'm getting poor engine response and higher fuel consumption too. Diagnostic points to a crankshaft to camshaft reference value issue. I suspect the crankshaft sensor. Has anyone else seen this?

Alphard owner here. Crankshaft to camshaft reference? Sounds familiar. Did it happen after some timing belt work, or did it just pop up out of nowhere?

No timing belt work recently. It just appeared. Could it be a faulty cam sensor instead? Did you have similar symptoms?

Mine was the crankshaft sensor itself. Exact same symptoms. I'd get it checked by a workshop if I were you.

Thanks for the confirmation! It was indeed the crankshaft sensor. Replaced it, cost 340€, and the Alphard is back to normal.
