Altima NOx Sensor Fault

I'm having an issue with my 2018 Nissan Altima with a gasoline engine. The check engine light is on, and it's showing a NOx sensor fault. I also think there's a slight exhaust leak. It has 82344 km. I'm wondering if it's a bad cable or plug, and if it could be related to the NOx sensor, affecting the air-fuel ratio and the catalytic converter?

I had a similar problem with my old Saab 9-3. Check engine light, NOx sensor error, all that jazz. For me, it was also the wiring harness. Does the Altima have easy access to the sensor connection?

Thanks. Access to the sensor connection seems straightforward. Did the Saab have any drivability issues with the error code? I'm worried about damage to the catalytic converter.

Yes, it ran rough at times, particularly at lower RPMs. Get the Altima checked out to avoid consequential damage. If you're lucky, cleaning and re-seating the connector may fix it, but NOx sensors are prone to failure. A workshop can test it easily.

I took it to my local workshop, and the NOx sensor's plug had a defective connection, which they repaired. The final bill was 95€. Thanks for the help!
