Altima transmission control unit issue

Hi, I'm having issues with my 2021 Nissan Altima with a gasoline engine. It has 241360 km on it. The paddle shifters don't work, the gearbox slips, and makes grinding noises. Plus it's slow to respond and now in emergency mode, with an error stored. I think it's the transmission control unit?

I had a similar issue with my Altima. Have you noticed if the problem occurs mostly when the engine is cold or hot? Does the error memory indicate anything about the transmission oil pressure or temperature sensor? This could give more insights.

The problem seems to happen regardless of engine temperature. I haven't checked the oil pressure or the temperature sensor yet. Do you think it is a serious issue? What was the cause in your case?

Based on your reported symptoms, the defective transmission control unit is highly likely, and a visit to a workshop is really recommended. In my case, the mechanic confirmed that the control unit was indeed faulty, leading to transmission issues.

Okay, thanks for the advice. I took it to a local shop, and it turns out the transmission control unit was indeed defective. The repair will cost around 1000€.
