Amaze alarm system malfunction
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Honda Amaze with a gasoline engine experienced an anti-theft alarm malfunction at 236,992 km, with an error in the memory causing the alarm not to work. Diagnostics indicated the alarm was incorrectly coded to activate optical locking. The issue was resolved by recoding the alarm system at a workshop, which fixed the erroneous activation.

Interesting! Thanks. Can you elaborate on the electrical issues you suspect with the battery? Did your diagnostics point toward spurious activations of the optical locking mechanism, or were your symptoms different? A detailed comparison would help.

Honestly, I didn't dig that deep. It was more annoying than anything else. But if your computer is throwing codes, it sounds more serious than what I had. Maybe you should take it to a workshop.

Indeed, your suggestion proved right. I consulted a reputable workshop. They recoded the alarm system, fixing the erroneous optical locking activation. The total cost was 45€.

Hey, I have an Amaze too, and I had something similar happen a while back. The alarm would just randomly go off. Super annoying! Did you check the car's battery? A weak battery can sometimes cause weird electrical issues with the alarm system.
