Summary of the thread
A 2018 Honda Amaze diesel is experiencing rough engine starts and high fuel consumption, with a diagnostic scan revealing a PTC heater error. Thanks! Was it the PTC heater for sure? Did replacing it solve all the problems completely? Did you measure the resistance of the heating element when it was defective?

Yep, mechanic confirmed it was the PTC heater. Replacing it sorted everything out. Don't remember the resistance value. I'd suggest getting it checked at a workshop.

Thanks a lot! Took it to the shop, and you were right – the electric auxiliary heater was indeed defective. Repair cost me around 350€. Engine runs smoothly now, and fuel consumption is back to normal. Appreciate the advice!

Sounds familiar. Had a similar problem with my old Opel Corsa. Same symptoms – rough starts and higher fuel consumption in winter. The PTC heater went kaput. Cost a bit to fix.
