AMG GT alarm system malfunction

I'm having trouble with the anti-theft alarm system on my 2015 Mercedes AMG GT with a gasoline engine and about 116870 km. There's an error stored, and the alarm isn't working. I think it might be misconfigured, maybe coded wrong for the optical locking. Has anyone seen this before? Any ideas on what to check?

An alarm system issue on an AMG GT is interesting. Your description sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my AMG GT, but I don't remember the mileage. The car alarm was dead. Did you check the battery? Any recent power failure or electrical work?

Power failure is interesting. I disconnected the battery briefly for maintenance. Could that have caused the misconfiguration? How did you fix your alarm issue?

A disconnected battery changes things. The workshop confirmed my system needed a reset after a battery issue. They recoded it. Was it expensive? Not at all. A diagnostic session should fix it.

You were right. I had the system recoded at the workshop. The invoice was 45€. The optical locking coding was the problem. Thanks for the help.
