I haven't checked the battery voltage myself. Where exactly should I measure to get a reliable reading? And regarding battery maintenance, what do you recommend?

Measuring directly at the battery terminals is best. As for maintenance, keeping the terminals clean is crucial. If you're not comfortable doing that, it's probably best to get it checked at a workshop. A defective battery sensor could be draining the battery. Replacing it shouldn't be too expensive, I'd budget around 300€.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a shop and you were spot on. Turns out the battery sensor was indeed defective. The repair cost me 315€. The battery is now charging properly and there are no more flickering lights.

Whoa, flickering lights and weak starts on an AMG GT? That's no fun! Definitely sounds electrical. Have you checked the battery voltage when the car is off and when it's running? A bad battery sensor could definitely mess with battery charge and lead to low voltage problems. How old is the car battery? Basic battery maintenance can help rule things out.
