AMG GT blower motor issue

I'm driving a 2017 Mercedes AMG GT, gas engine, with about 285647 km on the clock. Recently, the blower motor seems to have given up – completely dead. After a bit of digging, I keep running into mentions of an AUC sensor fault being a possible culprit. Something about the HVAC sensor or odor sensor? Could this air quality sensor really stop the whole blower? I'm thinking it's maybe a bad connection somewhere – a defective cable or plug perhaps? Any thoughts before I end up spending a fortune?

I am familiar with the AMG GT. A faulty AUC sensor can indeed cause issues with the blower motor. Have you checked the connection to the sensor itself? Is there any visible corrosion or damage?

You've had this happen before? Where exactly is that sensor located? And is it easy to get to, or am I going to need some specialized tools? Any tricks to checking the connection, besides just looking?

Yes, I encountered a similar problem previously. While the exact location may vary slightly, it is typically found near the air intake, often in the engine compartment. I would advise against attempting any repairs yourself unless you are confident in your abilities. A workshop diagnosis might be the best course of action to confirm the sensor fault and identify any other potential issues.

Thanks! Took your advice and went to a workshop. Turns out it WAS the AUC sensor, just like you said. The cable was a bit dodgy. They replaced it, total cost was around 95€ and the blower is working again. Appreciate the help!
