Thanks for the quick reply. I did a visual inspection of the battery terminals, and they seemed okay, but I didn't specifically check the ground connections. Where exactly are those located, and how would I properly test them?

The main ground strap is usually bolted to the chassis near the engine mount. A loose or corroded ground can cause all sorts of electrical gremlins, kind of like a bad earth on an old stereo system. If you are unsure, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop to check all connections properly. An ECU failure can be very expensive.

Thanks for the advice. I checked the battery cable connections, and they weren't good. I cleaned them and tightened them, and the car started right up! A trip to the workshop wasn't necessary. The repair cost was only 155€. I really appreciate the help!

Sounds frustrating. I had a similar engine fault issue with my AMG GT, though the symptoms were a bit different. It turned out to be a dodgy battery connection. It's like trying to run a marathon with untied shoes; the car just can't perform. Have you checked the battery terminals for corrosion or looseness? Also, did you check the ground connections as well?
