I appreciate your suggestion regarding the coolant reservoir How exactly did you pinpoint the leak in your case Was it a visual inspection, or did you use some specific tools or methods I'm trying to avoid unnecessary expenses, but I also want to ensure a thorough examination to rule out any major issues like a compromised head gasket The engine overheating is a real concern, and I don't want to risk further damage

In my case, it was a visual inspection, but it took a while to find it The leak was very small and only noticeable when the engine was hot and the system was under pressure Given your description and the error code pointing to a potential electrical issue within the coolant system, and if you are unsure, it might be best to take it to a trusted workshop They can perform a pressure test and check the electrical components of the coolant system more accurately This can help to rule out a head gasket issue and pinpoint the exact cause of the problem

I took your suggestion and visited a workshop The diagnosis confirmed a defective plug connection as initially suspected The repair cost me 95€, exactly as estimated I'm relieved it wasn't a more serious issue I really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience It saved me a lot of unnecessary worry and potential overspending

I also own a Mercedes AMG GT, although not the hybrid version I experienced a similar coolant issue a while ago The check engine light illuminated, and the coolant level was consistently low I initially suspected the radiator cap, but that wasn't the problem Take a close look at the radiator hoses Sometimes, small cracks can develop, causing a slow leak that's hard to spot Also, have you checked the coolant reservoir itself for any signs of damage or leaks
