AMG GT Hybrid OBD2 Scanner Issue
Summary of the thread
The owner of a 2023 Mercedes AMG GT hybrid experienced an error message, 'System readiness check incomplete,' after using an OBD2 scanner. This issue likely stemmed from the OBD2 reading interrupting the car's diagnostic cycle. A suggested solution was to perform a proper drive cycle to reset the system readiness. Ultimately, the problem was resolved by visiting a dealer, who reset the system readiness without charge.

Drive cycle? What exactly does that entail? I'm not super familiar with this stuff. What does a proper drive cycle even look like? Is it something I should be able to handle myself?

Essentially, the drive cycle allows your car's onboard diagnostics to reset after the OBD2 port was used. It involves specific driving conditions at different speeds and for certain durations. If the 'System readiness check incomplete' error persists, I would recommend visiting a workshop. It might need a professional diagnostic tool to properly reset the system readiness.

Thanks for the help! Turns out you were right. I took it to the dealer, and they just needed to reset the system readiness. Apparently, the OBD2 reading interrupted the car's diagnostic cycle. The repair cost was 0€ as it was a quick fix. I'll be more careful with the car diagnostics in the future.

I have an AMG GT too. I had a similar issue after using an OBD2 scanner. Are you sure the system readiness monitors are all set? Sounds like your drive cycle might not be complete. Have you tried performing a proper drive cycle?
