AMG GT Hybrid Starting Issue Resolved

My 2023 Mercedes AMG GT hybrid is exhibiting a persistent starting issue. The vehicle has 251517 km on it. Diagnostic checks indicate an interruption in Terminal 30 continuous plus. I suspect a heavily discharged or defective battery. Could this be related to the Fuse Box, Power Supply, Charging System, Wiring Harness, or Starter Motor?

Sounds familiar. I've got an AMG GT, though a bit older, not the hybrid. Had something similar happen. Terminal 30, for those not in the know, is basically your constant power supply. It bypasses the ignition switch, so things like your clock and memory settings don't get wiped every time you turn off the car. If that's interrupted, especially on a modern car with all its electronic systems, weird things can happen. Have you noticed anything else acting up, like the infotainment system glitching or unusual error messages?

The infotainment does occasionally exhibit some lag. I'm interested if you had similar symptoms? What was the eventual cause in your case?

The laggy infotainment is definitely a symptom that tracks. My issue ended up being a failing battery that was dragging down the whole system. With the hybrid system on your car, the complexity is increased. Terminal 30 provides power to a lot of modules. With these newer cars, it's best to get it checked by a shop before you start chasing ghosts with the wiring harness or starter motor.

I appreciate the insight. I took it to the workshop. The battery was indeed the culprit. Replacement and recalibration cost 290€. All seems to be in order now.
